T-shirt pillows :)

Hi everyone!! :)

With Brookie's surgery in November, and then our dog Dandy had to have all his teeth removed four days after her surgery, money was a little tight this Christmas season for us.  So, I decided to make T-shirt pillows for friends and family this Christmas.  I made each T-shirt pillow to match the friend/family member's personality. :) I scoured stores for clearance shirts (cause ... ummmmm I am going to cut them up, so don't want to spend a lot on them! LOL!) and also bought some with Black Friday sales. In the end, I had a T-shirt for each person. :)

Adam is a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan, and the T-shirt I found for him was 2-sided, so he got 2 pillows out of the shirt. :)

My goddaughter is a Shawn Mendes fan, and her step-sister is a Guns 'N Roses fan. :)

Her other Step-sister is a Harry Potter fan, and another friend of mine is also a H.P. fan :)

My BFF's boyfriend is a Nightmare Before Christmas fan, and one of his daughters (another goddaughter step-sister) loves the book "Fault In Our Stars." :)

My BFF is a HUGE Mickey fan and my Brother LOVES Superman!!  I will explain more about his pillow in a moment. :)

I got this idea from Jennifer Davey on the Therm-O-Web blog and Brookie was a NERD for Halloween (see photo below!) and I wasn't going to use her dress shirt again, nor the tie she wore, I used it for this project.  I used the front and BACK of the shirt, so I didn't waste the shirt! :)  Now, Jennifer created her own Superman symbol, but I just used a Superman T-shirt. :)

It is supposed to represent Superman opening his shirt and tie when he had to go into Superman mode (in case it wasn't obvious! LOL!) :)

And here is Brookie in this shirt and tie before I got my scissors to it! :)

My best friend Jason and his son are both Star Wars fans :)

For the Darth Vader one, I found a Star Wars comic fabric for the back :)

And yes, they were all a big hit!!!! :)

Merry and Bright -- featuring Paper House Productions :)

Hi everyone! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! :)

Today is my day over on the Paper House Productions blog and I wanted to share my project over here too! :)

This week we are scrap lifting the Paper House Productions Pinterest boards -- and I chose to scraplift my fellow Design Team member Tinagale's altered embroidery hoop home decor! :)

I used the 'Christmas Joy' collection on my altered hoop! :)

Sending You Christmas Cheer -- featuring Art Impressions :)

Hi everyone :)

I wanted to share some Christmas cards I made using Art Impressions stamps :)

And the reason I chose this stamp is because the big dog in the center looks like Scooby Doo (Brookie's favorite!) :)

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas :)

Christmas tags -- featuring Simon Says Stamps! :)

Hi everyone! :)

This year Brookie made Christmas gifts (we will share those after Christmas!), and I wanted to share the tags I made for them using Simon Says Stamps :)

She made 70 gifts, but I didn't want to photo all of them as the tags are all the same .. lol, so I am sharing just a few :)

Beginnings are Scary -- featuring Elle's Studio :)

Hi everyone! :)

I wanted to share a layout I made for the latest challenge at Challenge YOUrself :)

This time they wanted us to use our fave quote -- and I knew right away I had to play along and the quote I used was from the movie Hope Floats (one of my all time fave movies!!!). In fact I love this quote so much, this is probably the 5th or 6th time I have used it on a project :) And -- I even have this quote listed in one of my header tabs on this page!!  Right HERE :)

I used Elle's Studio "Family Fun" collection on my page :)

Here is the quote in full :)

Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. That's what momma always says. She says that beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up.
